WORCESTER City Youth secured a notable double over Redditch United.
The reserves’ fast-paced football proved too hot for United to handle in an emphatic 11-1 victory in the Midland League.
A first-half hat-trick from Joe Bates laid the foundations in a fine all-round team display as Josh Hesson (2), Ethan Moran (2), Wesley Lewis, Josh Willis, Joe Clarke and Christos Gabriel also found the net.
The girls' under 18s won 3-1 in the top-of-the-table clash against Redditch United to put City three points clear with the reverse fixture at Perdiswell on Saturday.

A Harry Rebbeck hat-trick was not enough for the under 13s who went ahead via Harry Stone but then let slip a 4-1 lead over Herefordshire RTC in a nine-goal thriller.
Also at Perdiswell, the under 14s lost 3-0 to Alvechurch.
