WORCESTER City seem set to play it safe with striker Kyonn Evans following his hamstring strain on last night.
The ex-Malvern Town frontrunner was withdrawn 51 minutes into Wednesday's 4-1 win at Highgate United in the Midland Football League Cup.
Evans has found life tough since returning to City in the summer, scoring once in three starts and seven substitute appearances in the league. His other two goals came at Pershore in the Worcestershire Senior Urn two weeks ago.
“It was a shame, the plan was always to get Kyonn 90 minutes (at Highgate),” said assistant manager Ashley Vincent.
“Having spoken to him before the game he was very happy with that but soon after half-time he opened up and felt a tweak in his hamstring.
“We will have to look at that in the build up to Saturday and decide what we’re going to do.
“He might say it is no good but even if he says he is okay, with it being unlikely that we will see him before the game we may not risk him.
“There are four boys coming back into the squad at the weekend so we have a strong core of 19 players and don’t necessarily need to gamble with his fitness.”
