TYLER Weir's move from Worcester City to Gloucester City has been confirmed.
The Worcester News reported earlier today that the 28-year-old had been approached to step back up three levels with the National South outfit who he represented 67 times between 2011 and 2013.
Weir twice left City to jump up two levels with Hednesford Town and Redditch United during a turbulent 2017-18 campaign prior to rejoining City again via Westfields over the summer.
Minor injuries and illnesses have hampered his availability at times this term but he has largely impressed in 16 appearances that saw the popular full-back utilised in more advanced positions on the right.
A statement on City's website read: "Tyler is a legend of this football club and we know this is a massive blow for us but we will not stand in the way of players who wish to test themselves at a higher level.
"Tyler has our best wishes and we are sure that we will one day see him pull on the blue and white stripes again."
