SHARP-SHOOTER Georgie Watkins has achieved national recognition in his first major competition representing the Hereford and Worcester Clay Pigeon Shooting Association.
Held at the Nottingham and District Gun Club the National Inter-Counties English Skeet Championship saw competitors from all over the country compete.
Watkins, from Bromsberrow Heath, was part of the junior team, alongside Brandon Smith, that were crowned runners up nationally.
The 14-year-old achieved an individual score of 92/100 and was placed four nationally for under 18s.
The former Ann Cam School pupil has been shooting with Bredon School for the past three years.
