WORCESTER St John’s Cycling Club celebrated a successful season at their awards ceremony.

Malvern's British Cycling Women’s Road Series winner Nikki Juniper handed out the silverware at Worcester Auto Club’s Perdiswell headquarters.

Two new awards made their debut with membership secretary Dave Walker voted as the first Alec Davies Trophy victor for overall club contribution.

Davies, who died earlier this year, was a staunch supporter of Worcester St John's for more than 50 years.

Jack Bradley, 10, received the best young rider award after being part of the new youth section formed by Paul Sobczyk.

More than 50 young riders took part in summer evening sessions of off-roading.

The Cattlow Trophy victor for most men’s road race points was Carl Dee and the Fagan Cup for the women's equivalent went to Rebecca Lane.

Open time trial winners included Simon Adcook who won the Frost Cup for the fastest 50 and the Windsor Challenge Shield for the quickest 100.

The Beauchamp Cup for veterans 50-25-10 on standard and the President’s Cup for Senior BAR (25,50,100) also both went to Adcook.

The Bob Short Cup for the fastest 10 was presented to Simon Garrett who also won the F Wilkes Cup for the quickest 25.

Garrett was overall winner of the club time trials and got the Harvey Cup for most men's points with a maximum 750.

He also claimed the Kinnersley Cup (Kinnersley circuit), D&G Hughes Cup (hilly 14), Underwood Cup (fastest 25), Farmer Challenge Cup (fastest 20) and Dinley Cup (fastest 10).

Sam Clarke, Dylan Perkins and Harry Tait got the most points to take the Mike Dinley Bowl for women, the Chesterfield Cup for juniors and the Juvenile Cup for under 16s respectively.

For road bikes, the Badgery Bowl for most men's points went to Dave Pardoe and the Chesterfield Cup for women to Jennie Daffin.

The Dickenson Cup for junior BAR (club 5, 10, 20 and 25) was handed to Perkins and the Juvenile Shield for U16 BAR (club 10, 10, 10) to Tait.

The Brittlebank Cup for the hill climb went to Phil Whiteley, the Heron Shield for the 10 on low gears to Mark Daffin, the Brittlebank Bowl for the handicapped 25 to Paul Fulbrook, the Bryd Cup for the handicapped 20 to Walker and the James Cup for the handicapped 10 to Martin Staines .

In the winter season, Vince Page has already picked up the club's Cyclocross Trophy for most West Midlands League points.

Medals went to riders who beat the standard times on three occasions in club time trials.

Rick Allen took bronze, silver and gold (70-plus age group), Mark Cooper bronze, silver and gold, Gary Holland bronze and silver (60-plus age group), Pardoe, Martin Stanley and Rob Nicholls bronze, silver and gold, Debbie Hodson bronze (50-plus age group), Mark Corbett, Mark Daffin, Paul Guest and Russell Kingston bronze, silver and gold, Clarke bronze and silver and Adrian Murray and Allan Watson bronze (40-plus age group).

For the seniors, Rikky Hughes and Russell Middleton were given bronze and silver while Matt Broad, Owen Williams and Sean Garfield got bronze.

In the under 18s age band Perkins bagged bronze and for the under 16s Tait claimed bronze and silver.
