WORCESTER Raiders were knocked out of the Worcestershire FA Saturday Junior Cup by struggling Feckenham.

The Claines Lane hosts, who had gone 13 games unbeaten, went down 2-1 in the quarter-finals with Richard Smith pulling a goal back.

Feckenham led 1-0 going into the break and extended their advantage in the second period.

Dan Sutton and Umit Eminoglu were on target for Jordan Adams’ side who are second from bottom in Midland League Division Two.

But Raiders' West Midlands League Division One promotion rivals Droitwich Spa made the semi-finals with a 2-1 home win over lower-ranked Inkberrow.

A Dan Cottrill double was enough as they dominated the first half but did not create too many opportunities.

Half-chances came and went for James Lemon, Brad Burgess and Ben Tilbury before sublime skill from the latter on the edge of the box set Cottrill through to finish clinically.

Tilbury's wonder strike was ruled out for offside while Spa defenders Mike Seeley and Andy Crowther coped with the pace of ex-Spa player Nathan Davies.

Inkberrow were on the front foot in the second period but Droitwich doubled their lead just before the hour against the run of play after Cottrill raced clear to slot home from Jack Allerton's through-ball.

Spa keeper Matt Oliver denied Harry Coughlin but a fine cross and even better 12-yard header from Tom Clews pulled a goal back for Inkberrow.

But they could not level despite throwing keeper Jack Turner forward as they forced a string of corners.

In other last-eight ties Redditch Borough beat Fairfield Villa 5-2 and Malvern Town Reserves won 3-1 at Worcester City Reserves.

Warren Tonks, Tyler Eley and Lanre Giwa netted for Malvern with Hassan Shah replying.

In the West Midlands Premier Division, fifth-placed Malvern Town secured a third consecutive win with a 3-0 triumph at Smethwick Rangers.

Town went ahead with their first raid on goal in the fifth minute when Louis Loader's effort was spilled by the keeper and Joshua Hunt turned the rebound home from close range.

They doubled their advantage on 57 minutes when Harry Clark was ruled to have been fouled and Hunt stepped up to fire in the penalty.

Clark then crossed for Hunt to complete his hat-trick at the second attempt following a fine save.

Bottom-of-the-table Pershore Town stunned Hereford Lads Club in eighth with a 2-1 home victory.
