VITALITY Blast hero Pat Brown has entered the auction for the 2019 Indian Premier League.

Worcestershire’s Brown is one of 18 England-qualified players who will be hoping to be bought by one of the IPL franchises on December 18.

The 20-year-old ended the 2018 Blast campaign as the competition’s leading wicket-taker with 31 victims.

He earned plenty of plaudits for his performance on finals day, returning 4-21 in the semi-final win over Lancashire and conceding just 14 runs in four overs in the final triumph over Sussex.

Brown said: “I have put myself forward for the IPL auction, if I do picked up it would be a fantastic experience.

“You are talking about being alongside the best players in the world. To experience something like that would be amazing.

“Last season went well and the team in the Blast but I am always looking to learn and improve.

“You can only learn from being with the world’s best and hopefully I would come back a better player and able to do even better for Worcestershire next summer.

“Worcestershire have told me that if I get picked, then I can go.”
