COUNTY pride is at stake on Boxing Day as Worcester City visit Stourport Swifts' Walshes Meadow for a Midland League Premier Division derby (3pm).

City's league game at Loughborough University on Saturday was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Swifts played out a 2-0 defeat at Long Eaton United which ended their four-match winning run in the competition.

Kyle Stovell and Fabian Smith scored the goals in the last 12 minutes to prevent Stourport adding to wins over Coventry United, Dunkirk, Wolverhampton Sporting Community and Sporting Khalsa.

With City ninth, Swifts are just two positions and four points away having played a game more.

Stourport's Worcester-based boss Quentin Townsend is on track to improve on last season's 15th-place finish.

City have only one win in seven league games which was a 2-1 success at Long Eaton on November 20.
