HEAD coach Rory Duncan has allayed fears over prop Nick Schonert’s injury saying it was not “too serious”.

The Worcester Warriors star has been struggling with an issue with his sternoclavicular joint as he lasted 40 minutes before being replaced in the win over Bath at the weekend.

Duncan ruled Schonert out of Saturday’s trip to Ospreys in the European Challenge Cup but did not believe the problem was a major concern.

“I must be honest with you I am too sure on the final diagnosis,” Duncan said.

“But what I can tell you is that Nick is not available for selection this weekend as the medical team are busy handling him at the minute.

“I don’t think it is anything too serious.

“It is something that is obviously bugging him and we want him to fully recover before we put him back on the pitch.”

Gareth Milasinovich, who came on for Schonert, also had to be leave the field against Bath following a blow to his head.

But Duncan confirmed Milasinovich had not failed the head injury assessment and could face Ospreys.

“He is busy with the medics at the moment so we will get feedback on him later in the week,” Duncan added.
