WORCESTER City Youth picked up two wins out of three as sides launched their JPL Elite League campaigns.

The under 15s kicked off in style, thumping Devon-based Chelsea representative side Blues South West 6-0.

The under 16s opened up with a 2-1 win over North Somerset RTC.

A goal from Josh Schuck was all they had to show for their first-half endeavours before the match exploded into life.

The visitors levelled only for Matty Patrick-Rivers to grab the winner eight minutes from time.

The under 14s' opener resulted in a 3-1 home defeat at the hands of Corby Town. They will now be aiming to return on Saturday when they visit Grantham Town.

In JPL Development League matches, there were plenty of goals.

The under 12s ran out convincing 11-4 winners over Hereford while the under 13s were overpowered 8-0 by Kettering Town.

In the other games, the under 10 girls hosted Kidderminster Lions and demonstrated the tremendous progress they have made since they met the same opponents earlier this season.

The reserves travelled to Gresley in Derbyshire where they suffered their third defeat of the season in a 2-1 loss.
