REVENGE was swift for Worcester City Youth when their girls’ under 18s won 5-1 at Stratford Town.

It followed a 4-2 defeat for their male counterparts less than 48 hours before in the Midland Floodlit League Cup despite leading 2-1 at half-time through Joel Owusu and Tom Allen.

The under 14s claimed their first JPL Elite League win with a 4-2 success at Grantham Town and City’s under 15s won 2-0 at RTC North Somerset in Clevedon.

After netting 11 times the previous week, the under 12s beat Kidderminster Harriers 12-2.

Also in the goals were the reserves who notched spectacular strikes in a 6-0 triumph over Wyrley.

First-half goals by Hassan Shah (2), Christos Gabriel and Jacob Keane were added to by Riley Keasey’s brace.

The under 13s battled well against Hereford as Ed Bowers scored the only goal in a 3-1 defeat.

The boys’ and girls’ under 10s showcased their progress in challenging games against Kidderminster Harriers and West Hagley.

The under 11s had an entertaining match with Oxford Skills and the under 16s drew 1-1 in their friendly with Stourport Swifts as Matty Patrick-Rivers scored.
