WORCESTERSHIRE and Herefordshire have a new-look side for the opening match in their defence of the Three Counties Championship against Shropshire at Shrewsbury on Wednesday (8pm).

There are six newcomers in the starting line-up and four more on the bench as the two counties seek a fourth consecutive title in the triangular competition.

Old Halesonians’ Joel Keenan and Callum Bradbury, Bromsgrove’s Cam Simpson, Oli Dunkley and Cam McCann and Bredon Star’s Ellis Hill all make their county debuts.

Star’s Alex Antonelli and Thomas Mitchell, Joe Nicklin of Kidderminster Carolians and Tom Hinks of Bromsgrove are the potential debutants among the replacements.

Worcestershire and Herefordshire then play Greater Birmingham in the final group match at Stourbridge on February 20.

The top two teams will meet in the final at Telford Hornets on March 13.
