EVESHAM United goalkeeper Andy Hannah has been called up for an FA Select squad managed by England C boss Paul Fairclough.

England C is the international team for players outside the Football League aged 23 and under.

Fairclough is overseeing a team made up of semi-professional prospects playing for clubs from Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire against a Herefordshire FA side playing to celebrate its 125th anniversary.

Will Tunnicliff, Archie Haskayne, Kane Simpson and Marley Thomas are on standby.

“I remember when I played that these games would come up and you would always view it as an honour, especially when the manager runs England C," said manager Paul Collicutt.

“He (Fairclough) has gone out of his way to find out more about all of the lads who might be involved and it should be a great experience.

“Andy has been very good and the biggest compliment I can pay him is that the worries we had over losing Harvey Rivers to Truro City have gone away. He is improving every week.”
