WORCESTER Wolves Academy entered a team into the Glozball CVL under 12s tournament.
The first under 12s team assembled by the club this season faced Stroud Sharks, Abingdon Eagles and Wales in their group.
They beat Sharks 12-8 after leading by six points at half-time.
Wolves then saw off Eagles 16-10 before tackling the toughest task of the afternoon.
But Wales proved too good as Worcester fell 26-10 despite a sterling effort.
The city side finished second behind Wales.
Having not trained together as a group beforehand and with some playing their first competitive games for the club, Worcester put in a strong showing.
They will return to Glouceser next month looking to improve and top their group.
