LOCK Pierce Phillips will make the move from Worcester Warriors to French Top 14 outfit Agen this summer.

Agen’s club president Jeff Fonteneau revealed on social media that Phillips had signed for the “next two seasons”.

Phillips, 26, joined Warriors from Championship club Jersey in the summer of 2017 and made 16 appearances in his debut season.

The 6ft 8in forward has remained part of Alan Solomons’ first-team plans this term, featuring in 18 games – 12 of those coming in the Gallagher Premiership.

But Phillips whose current deal expires in the summer has decided to join Agen who are 12th in France's top flight.

On Twitter, Fonteneau said: “Very pleased to welcome Pierce Phillips, a powerful English second row, who will join the Agen Rugby for the next two seasons!

“A player full of qualities that will come from the Worcester Warriors to complete the pack.”
