DROITWICH Spa’s Kazoku-Kan Judo Club enjoyed a visit from London 2012 Paralympics adaptive athlete Marc Powell.
Powell, who competed in the visually impaired category at the games, took part in a class alongside visiting veteran star Stan Cantrill, head coach Rich Morrish, trainee instructor Andrew Wright, Eleanor Warburton and Felicity Warburton.
The latter duo both recently earned their official instructing licences.
Morrish said Powell, from Cambridgeshire, worked alongside the students and showed them various techniques while making it fun and interesting at the same time.
The children learned a variety of holds and throws.
Morrish added: “This is the start of an exciting pathway for the club going forward and we have other special guests and events in the pipeline heading further into 2019.”

Sessions are held every Friday from 6.30pm until 8.30pm.
