WORCESTER Raiders took over at the top of West Midlands League Division One thanks to a 2-0 win at Team Dudley.

The Claines Lane side, who host Sikh Hunters on Saturday (3pm), went one point above Darlaston Town and still boast two games in hand.

Paul Smith and Logan Stoddart scored for high-flying Raiders in either half.

Fifth-from-bottom Bromyard Town romped to a 6-3 win at basement boys Telford Juniors.

Pershore Town moved above Wem Town in the Premier Division by thrashing their hosts 4-0.

Les Jones’ side are now two points ahead of second-from-bottom Wem who have a game in hand. Pershore have gone two games unbeaten following the previous weekend’s 2-2 draw at Dudley Sports.

Malvern Town's 12-game unbeaten run was ended by local rivals Hereford Lads Club's 4-1 victory.

Hereford went ahead in the first half through Ashley Lear and two corners converted by Jamie Cuthbertson within five minutes at the start of the second period put them firmly in control.

The fifth-placed hosts pulled one back in the 65th minute through Harry Clark but Kiea Cowley-Hair's long-distance strike sealed victory for the visitors.
