RUTHLESS Droitwich Spa gave Wellington Amateurs a midweek thumping with an 8-0 success.

Spa moved to two points off the West Midlands League Division One top four with games in hand thanks to the Walshes Meadow romp.

Droitwich, who visit lowly Willenhall Town tomorrow (3pm), were six up by half-time.

Andy Crowther passed inside for Jack Allerton to bury a fine opener into the top corner.

Three quick goals with Callum Morris netting two and Ben Tilbury one added to Wellington's woe.

Morris completed a first-half hat-trick with Tilbury bagging his second.

Spa scored two more in the second period through Tilbury's hat-trick clincher and Morris' fourth.

Amateurs finished the game with nine men after two red cards.
