WORCESTER'S Nunnery Wood High School can boast a talented pool of girls' rugby players.
Seven pupils from year nine and 10 play for Worcester under 15s with six put forward by club coaches for North Midlands regional assessment at Bournville.
Three were selected for the squad among 60 girls on trial with hooker Lola Brothwell, scrum-half Melissa Tout and centre Anna Willis chosen.
Willis, who was also selected as captain, admitted about the sport which she started at the city school in year eight: “I would love it to become a career for me.”
The girls have enjoyed county success as well as impressing at festivals held at Syston in Leicester and Burntwood in Staffordshire.
