TWO Droitwich teams will do battle in Sunday's Mercian Counties Shield Plate final at Malvern Town (11.45am).

Droitwich Spa Boys and Girls Football Club's Colts under 11s face fellow town side Westbury Celtic Ravens in the Mercian Fortis Junior League competition.

Colts are in their fifth season having spent the last four years in the Stourport and District Youth League, winning the Vase trophy in 2017.

Having moved into the Mercian competition, they took a few weeks to adapt to playing nine-a-side football but have gone unbeaten in the league since October with a season record of 12 wins, one draw and five defeats.

Since starting the team over the last three years and adding a few extra players, final opponents Ravens have progressed well.

Starting the season off with three defeats and moving up to nine-a-side, it took them a while to get into the season.

Results changed and Ravens have not lost since November with nine wins and two draws.
