MORE signings will be announced by Worcester Warriors later this month, according to director of rugby Alan Solomons.

Warriors have snapped up five players ahead of next season but Solomons’ efforts to enhance his squad continues.

With second-from-bottom Worcester battling to stay in the Gallagher Premiership, Solomons said his focus had been on matters on the pitch as his side gear up for Saturday’s trip to Wasps (3pm).

But once Warriors’ home clash with Sale Sharks on Saturday, April 13, the final fixture in a group of four consecutive matches, is out of the way Solomons said he expected to be in a position to reveal further transfer news.

“There has been a little bit of focus on this block (of four games) which is quite big for us,” Solomons said.

“I would say by the end of this block things will materialise.

“We will get towards the back end of (our recruitment) probably after this block.”

Leicester Tigers second row Graham Kitchener, Connacht prop Conor Carey, Northland scrum-half Jono Kitto, Blues back Melani Nanai and Provence wing Ed Fidow have decided to move to Warriors for the 2019-20 campaign.

Solomons has also retained 17 members of his current crop including Scotland fly-half Duncan Weir and England flanker Ted Hill.

But centres Ben Te’o and Wynand Olivier, hookers Jack Singleton and Niall Annett, back rowers Alafoti Fa’osiliva, Dewald Potgieter and Carl Kirwan, lock Darren Barry and scrum-half Jonny Arr are all out of contract this summer.

“I am very pleased with the recruitment that we have been able to accomplish with the guys that we are bringing in and the guys that we have re-signed,” Solomons added.

“I am very happy with where we are and I anticipate the process being finished in the week after the Sale game.”
