TWO Worcester Bears teams are through to the Youth Basketball League (YBL) semi-finals.
The under 11s and 15s will play at the University of Worcester on Saturday, May 4, against City of Birmingham Red and West Bromwich Albion D-Squad respectively.
Bears under 15s, coached by Anthony Lavell, have won all but one game against teams from all over the West Midlands and went straight through to the semi-finals.
The under 11s, coached by Anthony Duggan and Aaron Williams, finished second in their group and won all five games in the play-offs in Walsall.
They beat teams from Coventry, West Bromwich and Bromsgrove as they successfully pursued one qualification place.
Bears have been holding trials for the 2019-20 season for under 18s, 16s, 14s and 13s at Bishop Perowne College under head coach Rick Solvason.
