WORCESTER secured a North Midlands Under 15s Cup final place with a 32-10 win at Stourbridge.

Spring sunshine and a 3G pitch provided ideal conditions with Worcester now set to face Hereford or Old Halesonians on Sunday, April 28, at Dudley Kingswinford.

For the first 15 minutes of the semi-final Stourbridge were camped in Worcester’s half and scored through a short-range driving maul from a lineout.

Two long kicks from penalties saw Worcester visit the Stourbridge 22 for the first time and Ben Williams crashed over from the lineout with Jacob Morgan-Iqbal converting.

A forwards drive, led by Seb Dear, brought Worcester close enough for Jack Hodgson to power across from short range.

Soon after Alex Terry’s quick tap penalty caught the opposition off guard and he dived over to give Worcester a 17-5 lead at half-time.

Worcester’s George Cunliffe defended doggedly before the backs created space for Cam Richardson to race down the touchline and touch down in the corner.

The forwards set up a driving maul from a lineout to drive Josh Culpin over for a fifth try.

Stourbridge’s forwards crashed over for their second try but Worcester completed the scoring when Alex Jones' storming run down the blind side ended with a try in the corner.

The squad also included Fin Dalby, Freddie Griffiths, Sam Jeff, George Boyle, Tom O’Neil, Will Wrout, Arrian Ghoncheh, Harvey Sharpe, Elijah Martin, Alfie Morse, Isiah Martin, Will Dunaway and Ollie Catherwood.
