WORCESTER cut loose at Weston's Fields with an 11-try 67-14 thrashing of Moseley Oak in the penultimate game of the Midlands One West season.

Dave Serafini struck four times and Chris Griffiths and Sam Harper both crossed twice as the hosts piled more misery on already-relegated Oak.

There were also tries for Ollie Meadows, Sam Fitch and Martin Detorres to leave head coach Tim Pickard purring.

“We have just allowed the boys to play what is in front of us as there is no point dictating where and when they should be attacking,” Pickard said.

“It is all well and good putting things in place but I’m not on the field and I can’t get a feel for the game the same way as the players can.

“The ball is in their court and they have taken it really well.

“Since Dave has come back after Christmas he has been playing really well. He is threatening on the wing and suits the way we play.”

Sixth-placed Worcester will now look to spoil champions Bromsgrove’s promotion party when they visit Finstall Park on Saturday.

“It is a local derby and we will tell the boys to go out and enjoy it,” Pickard added.
