WORCESTER City Youth under 12s are in seventh heaven after storming past Paulton Rovers into the JPL Shield semi-finals.

An opening blitz saw City race into a 5-0 lead in the first 15 minutes thanks to goals from Bora Sahingoz (2), Charlie Lannie (2) and Oliver Piekarski.

Lucas Colley added a sixth before half-time and Haydn Parkes put the gloss on a 7-0 win in the second half.

They now await news on their opponents for the semi-final on April 27.

In other JPL cup action, City's under 10s missed out on progressing to the national stages after losing 3-1 to Halesowen Town Colts in a tight regional final.

Both the under 14s and under 15s notched impressive victories in their JPL Elite League fixtures.

Kobe Chikosi (2), Arthur South, Shakeel Brown and Sahel Yessen were on the mark for the under 14s as they won 5-1 against AFC Rushden and Diamonds.

The under 15s returned from Oxford City with a 3-2 victory over a team that had been unbeaten for 14 months.

A spectacular Jack Baker volley was not enough for the under 16s who lost 2-1 to Evesham United in their JPL Elite League derby.

Elsewhere there were fine team displays by the under 10s girls and under 11s in their matches against West Hagley and Oxford City respectively.

A depleted under 13s side ran out of steam in the second half of their friendly with WBA Academy Development to lose 6-0.
