WORCESTER Dragon Boat Racing Club aces won silver medals as they launched the national league season on the River Severn.
They finished second in the 200 metres and 1.8-kilometre city loop with the women’s boat coming in a respectable fourth place at the British Dragon Boat Racing Association event.
There were 20 paddlers per crew plus the drummer and helm.
The club also held a dotting of the eye ceremony to launch new boat The Black Dragon.
Anyone interested in getting involved with the sport can head along on Wednesdays or Thursdays at 6.30pm or Sundays at 10am from the RNIB boathouse steps on Bromwich Parade.
