WARRIORS

9 Pennell – has a habit of turning on his best performance when the season hits crunch time and he continued that, beating several defenders with jinking runs.

8 Humphreys – back in the starting line-up for the first time since January the wing made his mark with a blistering break for Weir’s try and always looked a threat.

9 Venter – his ability to straighten up the line gave Gloucester real problems as he thundered forward on several occasions and held firm defensively too.

8 Te’o – has formed a strong centre partnership with Venter as he kept driving down the heart of Gloucester’s defence to get his side on the front foot.

8 Adams – he might be off in the summer but the Wales star is giving his all for the club as he looked to make things happen and almost grabbed an early try in the corner.

8 Weir – aside a couple of poor kicks out of hand, the fly-half was excellent, landing two penalties and three conversions and crossed for Warriors’ first score in a 17-point haul.

9 HOUGAARD – an outstanding defensive shift from the scrum-half who was everywhere, throwing himself into collisions, winning turnovers and injected energy into the attack. My man of the match.

8 Waller – another superb performance in the loose from the prop who did brilliantly to keep the ball alive in the lead-up to Barry’s try. He also scrummaged well.

9 Annett – did not miss a tackle all afternoon, was accurate in the lineout and registered a try when he touched the ball at the base of the post.

8 Schonert – with the England boss watching on the tighthead prop enhanced his World Cup hopes with an impressive all-action display that included an early line break.

8 Bresler – was at his belligerent best as he carried hard, stopped many Gloucester players in their tracks and stood up to the task in the set-piece.

8 Barry – was magnificent in the lineout and smashed his way over for a match-winning try that has put his future club Newcastle on the brink of relegation.

8 Mama – since taking on the captaincy Warriors have won twice and that’s no coincidence as he led the troops brilliantly and was effective in the loose.

9 Lewis – another standout performer in Worcester’s side as he clocked up 17 tackles and asked questions of Gloucester’s defence when he got the ball in his hand.

8 du Preez – has given Warriors an aggressive edge in the pack since his return from his long injury lay-off as he often muscled his way forward and was strong in the tackle.
