WORCESTER’S Nunnery Wood Colts are planning an even bigger and better football festival this summer.

They already have more than 80 teams attending over the weekend of June 1 and 2 at their ground off Battenhall Road.

There will be a skills challenge and various other entertainment and refreshments alongside the tournament action.

Age groups from under sevens up to 14s will be catered for with various trophies and medals on offer.

Funds raised will go back into the club with last year’s festival helping Colts to buy new goals for their home ground.

Colts, who have retained their FA Charter Standard status, boast more than 30 teams.

Meanwhile, Colts have resumed their Wildcats Girls’ Tuesday night football from 6.30pm until 7.30pm.

Girls aged from five to 11 are welcome to join in the training in the national FA-run initiative.
