THERE was final success for Worcester Dragon Boat Racing Club aces at the second national league event in Stockton-on-Tees.
Even with low numbers Worcester went out with all guns blazing against 17 other clubs in cold, windy conditions.
They won the British Dragonboat Association plate major final over 500 metres for mixed competitors and also secured a second place trophy.
Worcester, with some paddlers previously enjoying a spring training camp in Ambleside before the meet, also raced in the women's and 200m mixed sections.
Members meet on Wednesdays at 6.30pm and Sundays at 9.30am for practice on the River Severn.
For more information on the club, email info@worcester-Dragons.org.uk or visit their Facebook page.
The next event is at Milton Keynes on June 1.
