PERSHORE rose to third in the Worcestershire League Premier Division with their fourth win out of six games.

The town side beat hosts Bewdley by 58 runs thanks to Charlie Cross (62), Chris Miles (49) and seamer Stephen Miles (4-43).

Third-from-bottom Worcester lost by nine wickets at Stourbridge after being bowled out for 118.

Mid-table Old Elizabethans were thrashed by 133 runs at home to Old Hill, slumping to 75 all out in reply to 208 when Dan Colburn took 4-44.

Bromyard crashed by 130 runs at Colwall in the battle of the Division One high-fliers as Luke Dalley's 6-11 from 11 overs skittled them for 47.

Worcester Nomads lost by two wickets at home to second-placed Hagley despite the best efforts of all-rounder Nick Jones (50 and 4-48).

Pedmore won by seven wickets at lowly Droitwich Spa, who were bowled out for 81, to move into fourth place.

In Division Two, Sam Oakley (76 not out) led second-placed Ombersley seconds to a five-wicket victory at Bromsgrove seconds.

Himbleton beat mid-table rivals Kidderminster seconds by nine wickets.

Kidderminster were polished off for 117 thanks to Greg Dale (3-22), new recruit Jeremy Pilgrim (3-16) and Paul Guy (3-16).

In reply, Jon Critchlow (41) returned to form while captain Richard Sugden (31no) supported and Ali Pretty (34no) helped Himbleton home with two sixes.

Old Elizabethans seconds are third in Division Three after a four-wicket victory at Old Hill.

Kevin Gwynne took 4-51 in the hosts' 190 all out before James Allen (56), Nathan Dobbins (43) and Jake Greenbank (26no) starred with the bat.

Martley went fourth after chasing down Redditch Entaco seconds' 276-6 through James Ganderton (109), Alexander Basford (75) and Dan Mayfield (50) for a five-wicket win.

Rushwick lost at home to Kempsey by two wickets after being bowled out for 122.

Matt Walters claimed 5-36 for Kempsey and Lewis Hooper 5-39 for Rushwick.

Old Vigornians' Osman Fiaz (90no) and Chris Drew (61no) guided them to a seven-wicket victory over Barnards Green seconds with nine overs left.

The Worcester club's first win of the season also saw Drew take 2-39 in Green's 218 all out alongside 4-43 from both Jabba Riaz and Ian Robinson.

Jez Clarke (47) and Roger Thompson (43) starred with the bat for the Malvern side.

Fiaz's measured innings in reply came off 106 balls with 13 fours and three sixes.

Todd Charlton (76) led Pershore seconds to their first win of the season against Stourbridge seconds by five wickets.
