HEREFORD FC have swooped for a double dose of experience to add to their signings so far.

The National League North club followed up recruiting departing Kidderminster Harriers keeper Brandon Hall with the arrival of centre-half Martin Riley.

Riley, 32, has agreed a one-year deal after leaving Alfreton Town, boasting more than 300 games for the likes of Harriers, Cheltenham Town, Mansfield Town and Tranmere Rovers.

Ex-Ebbsfleet United keeper Hall, 26, has joined the Edgar Street ranks after a surprise exit following two years with league rivals Kidderminster.

The Bulls have already signed another former Harrier with plenty of experience in forward Reece Styche, 30, from Alfreton and retained veteran defender Josh Gowling, 35.

Riley said: “I’m really pleased to have agreed a deal to come to Edgar Street and am excited about our prospects for next season.

"I’ve played here on several occasions over the years and have always found it a tough place to come and get a result.”

Hall said: “I played at Edgar Street last year for Kidderminster and it was the atmosphere that stood out.

"To have so many fans behind you is unusual at this level and I’m looking forward to having them on my side instead!

“I’m a modern keeper who likes to use his feet to get involved in starting attacks and hopefully that will benefit the team too.”

Head coach Marc Richards said: “We’ve identified the need for more experience and Martin brings that in abundance.

"He’s been a solid, reliable defender for a number of years and we’re delighted to have been able to bring him in.

“Much like Josh, Martin brings know-how from higher levels than we’re currently playing at and we all know the impact Josh has had since he arrived here.

“Brandon is an excellent addition to our squad and although he is relatively young in goalkeeping terms he has good experience at this level and the level above.

“Signing a talented goalkeeper has been one of our priorities since the end of last season and to have secured Brandon’s services is something everyone should be really excited about.

"He was much in demand after leaving Kidderminster so it’s a real coup that he’s chosen us as his preferred option."
