WORCESTER Dragons returned with a national silver success from the British Dragon Boat Racing Association meet at Milton Keynes.
The city club travelled with a strong crew of 30 paddlers and raced alongside 21 others in blistering heat.
They tackled 200-metre and 470m distances with the women's 200m race held in the midday sun.
Worcester got silver in the 200m mixed plate and then secured fourth place through the 470m mixed crew.
The women were slightly short of paddlers but came eighth overall.
Newcomers aged over 11 are welcome to join for a paddle on Sundays at 9.30am for 10am on the water on non-race weekends and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6.30pm for 7pm at the clubhouse on Bromwich Parade.
