WORCESTER City Amateur Boxing Club's Owen Cooper has taken the leap to sign up for his first professional contract.

Cooper, 19, will start his pro boxing career with BCB Promotions under Errol Johnson.

The teenager won the England Boxing National Youth Championships title in 2018 and made the quarter-finals in his first senior championships in March.

He has continued to work hard and remain focused in pursuit of his goal.

The city amateur club's coaches have played a major role in pushing Cooper this far and to be the best he can be.

The boxer is looking forward to the future training under Malcolm Melvin.
