ENGLAND women's team sealed the Royal London ODI Series after beating West Indies at Blackfinch New Road to move into an unassailable 2-0 lead.

England totalled 233-7 in 41 overs after their innings was interrupted by a lengthy delay for rain.

West Indies were set an initial target of 244 under the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method and this was then revised to 209 in 28 overs after a second rain interruption.

The tourists were restricted to 87-6 as England followed up their 208 win in the first ODI at the Fischer County Ground with an emphatic 121-run victory.

It was a fitting way for Laura Marsh to celebrate her 100th ODI appearance for England.

The player of the match was Anya Shrubsole who hit 32 off 16 balls with the aid of two sixes and two fours.

Shrubsole then followed that up with two wickets and a final analysis of 5-3-12-2 as she and Kate Cross – 2-4 in four overs – picked up early wickets.

England opener Tammy Beaumont laid the foundations for England’s impressive final total by making 61 off 83 balls.
