WORCESTER'S Old Vigornians secured a fifth successive victory in dramatic fashion.

The 10-run win over Rushwick at the Cinderella Ground means they stay second in Worcestershire League Division Three. 

Captain Joe Sullivan (40) won the toss and along with Osman Fiaz (66) added 80 for the first wicket against accurate bowling.

Rob Lanchbury-Thomas (12) hit the only six and George Francis got 12 not out in OVs' 175-7 in 50 overs. Lewis Hooper took 4-33.

OVs did not bowl with the same discipline as Rushwick's Niwantha Indima (23), Stuart Parker (39) and Paul Wyatt (30) scored rapidly.

The villagers were on 123-3 in the 22nd over when off-spinner Ahsan Fiaz sparked a collapse to 146-8 with his best figures for eight years of 5-24.

Ivan Campbell-Ferguson (1-21) supported with fine catches from Lanchbury-Thomas, Francis and Ahsan Fiaz.

Joe Davies (17) and Adam Went (14) gave Rushwick hope before Osman Fiaz held a crucial catch off Ian Robinson (2-43) to dismiss the visitors for 165.

Russell Oseland (86no) led leaders Netherton to a comfortable seven-wicket victory against Old Elizabethans seconds.

OEs, put into bat, were helped to 180 all out in 47.3 overs by Sean Cairney (57) and Tony Rees (50).

Paceman Paul Athey took 4-14 for fourth-placed Avoncroft as they won by five wickets against basement side Pershore seconds.

Kempsey are fifth after winning a high-scoring match by 32 runs at one-time leaders Martley, amassing 267-4 before bowling the home side out for 235.

Barnards Green seconds beat Stourbridge seconds by six wickets thanks to Blair Kingsland's 4-26.

Division Two top two Ombersley and Lye won against Himbleton and Bartestree and Lugwardine by three and nine wickets respectively.

Worcester seconds beat Eastnor by just one run to move up to second in Division Four.

Opener Duncan Kasuso (32) top scored in Worcester's 130 all out but Eastnor were removed for 129 in a tense reply with Ben Doyle claiming 5-26.

Lye seconds beat visiting Worcester Nomads seconds by 33 runs to stay top of Division Five despite 4-33 from Anton Madzarevic and 79 by skipper Malcolm Jones.

Stephen Smith scored 50 to help West Malvern beat Feckenham seconds by seven wickets to go up to second.

Anthony Arnold took 4-52 to guide Malvern to a tight six-run victory against Hanley Castle and Upton despite Matt Pratley's reply of 69.
