EVESHAM Vale Triathletes' Lee Ross claimed top spot at the Hereford Aquabike.
The race challenged competitors to a 400-metre pool swim and 12-mile bike route.
Ross had a strong swim but then put huge gains into his rivals on the bike to finish five minutes ahead of his nearest rival.
The result comes as a worthy reward after battling injury for eight months and shows he is returning to form for the rest of the season.
