JORDAN Harrison scored the only goal as Worcester City won their pre-season opener 1-0 at Bewdley Town.
Two trialists started for City against the West Midlands League Premier Division side on Saturday with another five on the bench including three goalkeepers in total.
Harrison figured as a substitute to bag the only goal and said: “It’s good to be back building momentum and finding the net early.”
Among the starters for Worcester included Luke English as captain, Nyeko Sinclair, Levi Andoh, Sam Hall, Joel Caines, Chris Withington, Jack Jeys, Tyreece Ruddock and Jamie Smith.
City, who next visit Pershore Town on Saturday (3pm), are preparing for a third season in the Midland League Premier Division.
Hereford FC won 4-0 at county neighbours Wellington with a brace from Rowan Liburd alongside goals from summer signing Reece Styche and a trialist.
Meanwhile, former Hereford and Evesham United goalkeeper Harvey Rivers has signed for Westfields for a second spell after leaving National League South side Truro City.
