WORCESTER City slumped to a disappointing 4-2 pre-season defeat at lower-ranked Pershore Town.

After scoring the winner in last weekend’s 1-0 win at Bewdley Town Jordan Harrison bagged the opener at Pershore when he turned home Luke English’s volley across the box.

But James Baldwin then scored against his former club to level the scores after some good link up play by the hosts who play one level below Worcester.

Pershore then established a 2-1 half-time lead when a corner found Dan Noke who side-footed home.

Liam Lockett went narrowly wide just before the break but made no mistake at the start of the second period to draw level.

But a mistake by City’s trialist goalkeeper resulted in a third goal for Pershore as his poor clearance found Umit Eminoglu who netted from long range.

Town then sealed victory when Sam Whitton nodded in Curtis Townley’s free-kick to the far post.
