THE players that have joined Worcester City this season have all settled in well.

Ryan Clarke, Emeka Nwadike and Rapinder Gill linked up with the the club during the summer, while Paul Barratt, Peter Doran and Patrece Liburd have signed since.

It takes a while for players to get used to their team-mates and their strengths and weaknesses but I think they have all settled in well now.

I am really pleased with defender Ryan Clarke.

Although he's not played in his favourite position, he's adapted well and got better and better as the season has gone on.

He's becoming one of our key players and it shows why I was keen to sign him for so long and never gave up on him.

He's got good pace and he's good on the ball but he can improve and move on to better things with Worcester.

Midfielder Emeka Nwadike was a shining light early on in the season and I thought he was superb. However, we had a chat when we felt his form dropped last month, which coincided with us dropping our form around the Alfreton and Tamworth games.

I think it showed how important Macca was to the team in that when he didn't play well we didn't play well, but he picked up against Boston.

Defender Rapinder Gill has been a bit unlucky with in-juries and taken a bit longer to settle but you have got to look at the experience Ryan and Emeka have got at this level.

They have played more than 100 games each, whereas Rap-inder probably hasn't played 100 games at any level.

He's learning but he made a massive step up to join Broms-grove Rovers and another to join us.

Rapinder has shown in spells what a good player he can be for the club and I think there's a lot more to come from him and we are yet to see the best of him.

Paul Barratt is doing exactly what I want in making it difficult for Adam Burley to get back in the team.

When you have got competition in a position it pushes players on to better things and I am sure Adam will rise to the challenge but at this moment Paul is in excellent form and showing his quality. I couldn't be more pleased with his progress.

Peter Doran has probably done the opposite to Paul. He started well but he's not done so well of late.

But he's aware of it and knows he needs to do better. He didn't play well at the weekend against Southport and he will be keen to put that right.

Patrece Liburd is beginning to get an understanding with Chris Smith and the others at the back.

We have done well in recent games and looked solid in the 2-1 victory against Southport. Patrece has done well but there are a few things he needs to work on, although he's only a youngster.
