WORCESTER teenager Owen Cooper will make his professional boxing debut later this month at Walsall Town Hall.

The 18-year-old will fight on Saturday, September 28, after signing his first pro contract with Errol Johnson's BCB Promotions.

Cooper is now waiting to find out who his opponent will be.

The contests at the Brawl At The Hall show run from 7pm with doors open at 6pm.

British title hopefuls Lennox Clarke and Andrew Robinson will also be in action.

Cooper has shone over the years for Worcester City Amateur Boxing Club in more than 40 fights and gone as far as taking a national youth belt last year.

He then reached the quarter-finals at his first senior championships in March.

Cooper has been grateful to his coaches for their support and time.

He has also enjoyed an overwhelming backing from the city community.

Cooper is looking for sponsors and anyone interested in helping or getting tickets for the fight is asked to email cooperowen95@gmail.com or find Owen Cooper Boxing on Facebook.
