THERE was time trial success for local riders in the Wyre Forest 10-miler south of Kempsey.

Kerry Guest rode her debut event for Worcester St John's Cycling Club to get second fastest women's road bike in 28 minutes 45 seconds.

Paul Guest took fourth place and first veteran over 40 in 21.53.

Harry Tait was the top junior with 22.52 and Martin Staines claimed first veteran over 60 with 24.07.

Andrew Milner clocked 24.30 and Alex Kisiel 25.44 while Aimee Lane won her category in 25.52.

The overall winner was professional Team Wiggins rider Ben Healy from Ireland who was just outside the course record despite the unfavourable wind direction.

On the same day three Worcester St John's riders travelled to a major event near Aylesbury.

Rikky Hughes, Martin Stanley and Martin Lines all broke their personal bests with 22.13, 21.45 and 21.05 respectively.
