How they rated:

Harriers 2, Altrincham 0

Palmer: Not troubled for long spells, especially in the second half, but kept his concentration to make sure he kept his cleansheet with two good late saves. 7.

Austin: Supported attack well but it did mean he left his flank slightly more exposed in the first half. Good energy and had a more rounded second half as Harriers bagged the win. 7.

Davidson: An accomplished display from the impressive wing-back. Always looking for the ball and helped set up the opener. 7.

R. Williams: Another good display from the centre back who does seem to be growing with each game. Vital block in the first half to deny Hancock. 7.5.

Moyo: Solid from the skipper and snapped into win the ball back as the insurance policy when Austin did venture forward. 7.

Johnson: Much better from the left-sided centre back. Came across on the cover on a few occasions and won a few important defensive headers. 7.

Weeks: Gives Harriers much kore creativity from the centre of the parks as demonstrated with his fine ball to Chambers for the second. Much more positive from him on the ball and had moments when he drove with the ball in midfield. 7.5.

Butterfield: Got around the pitch in the engine room to provide a good foil for Weeks. Kept thing simple on the ball but important as Harriers cut down the space as Altrincham looked to play out from the back. 7.

Chambers: Superb from the striker. Ran his socks off all afternoon and had his hard work rewarded with a well-taken brace. Add quality finishing to his selfless running and linked up well with Peniket. 8.

E. Williams: Found some good positions between the lines and linked up well with the home front two. Showed a better work rate too as Harriers pressed well. 7.

Peniket: A good display as the forward led the line well. Won his headers, showed his strength and linked up really well with Chambers. Missed a few chances for a goal that he’d have deserved. 7.

Subs: Prosser: Late change for Chambers as Harriers saw out the closing stages. 6.

Higginson: Replaced Davidson in the final five minutes to shore things up. 6.

Shenton: Injury time switch for Ed Williams. N/A.

Unused: Mountjoy, Lowth.
