The opener came eight minutes in when a through ball from Mitch Lawley was finished off by Hinesh Patel and the second arrived in similar circumstances.

Hesitancy at the back allowed Patel another free hit and h made no mistake with Littleton reeling.

Captain Kevin Ingram was lost to injury as the problems piled up for manager Tyrone Henderson whose side was responsible for its own downfall for the third.

A sloppily-played free-kicked allowed that man Patel to pinch possession and turn provider for captain Lawley to squeeze home.

Jourdain Masidi emerged from the bench at half-time and helped to steady the ship with Littleton gradually working their way into proceedings.

Lewis McPike should have done better when he worked his way into the box but fired straight at home keeper Liam Haynes.

The visitors began to up the ante and Adam Garmson spurned a decent chance, firing wide from 12 yards and the game was up when Dudley got their fourth with 15 minutes to go.

Ryan Thomas provided the ammunition for Lewis Taylor-Boyce to make no mistake from point-blank range.

The loss prevented Littleton from gatecrashing the top three ahead of welcoming Wolverhampton Sporting Community on Saturday (3pm).

Alvechurch youngster Ben Cassidy has been added to Henderson’s squad.

Littleton start out in the WMRL Premier Division League Cup with a trip to Bewdley Town tomorrow (Tuesday, 7.45).

  • PERSHORE Town stayed on the coattails of a congested battle in the top half of the table by seeing off Smethwick Rangers 3-1 on their own patch.

The other two came from Umit Eminoglu free-kicks to the far post, Sam Clark scoring from the scramble that followed the first two minutes after half-time and Nick Seabourne thumping in a header midway through the second half.
