VALE ace Ed Norton returned from Hungary with two European pentathlon gold medals.
The 31-year-old Evesham Fencing Club regular tackled the Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM) European Masters.
He claimed men's gold in the individual 30-plus category and for the winning Great Britain team.
Norton, of Honeybourne, was particularly proud of achieving the top fencing result in Budapest, only dropping five hits in total for the first time in his international career.
The field included several ex-Olympians including one gold medallist from Russia.
Vladimir Gavrilov from Russia finished second with Volodymyr Slynko from Ukraine third.
Evesham Fencing Club meet at The De Montfort School on Tuesday evenings.
They have a children’s session as well as one for adults and everyone is welcome.
