DROITWICH Ohku Kai Karate Club presented black belt certificates to four junior students and one adult.
They took an intensive physical exam as well as a written one in front of a panel of senior black belts.
Andy Parmley received a third dan with firsts for the four juniors.
The club hold beginners classes at Droitwich Spa Leisure Centre at 7.15pm on Wednesdays and are looking for new students.
Classes resume after new year on January 6.
The club, established in the town in 1984, is led by Sensei Dave Honey, also a local darts ace, who has 40 years of martial arts' experience.
