MALVERN Town have added to their coaching staff with Georgi Raev joining the club.

The UEFA B coach is working towards his A licence with the Football Association of Ireland and takes the team for tactical and technical sessions.

The Bulgarian has previously worked with the likes of Blyth Spartans, Alnwick Town and the Newcastle United Foundation under 19s team.

Raev is working closely with the first team and under 18s to help out co-managers Lee Hooper and Dene Whittal-Williams.

Meanwhile, Town's reserves slipped to a 3-1 defeat at Ewyas Harold which knocked them off the top of the Herefordshire FA League Premier Division.

Town deservedly went ahead in the 10th minute when a five-man move was finished off by Henry Dyde's header.

But the hosts levelled on 23 minutes with a free header from a corner and then took the lead on the half-hour mark from the penalty spot following sloppy defensive work.

Second-half missed chances and smart saves cost Malvern dear as Ewyas Harold scored a late third goal.

Town visit Hereford Pegasus Reserves on Friday (7.30pm).

The under 18s beat Pershore Town 4-3 with goals from Joe Westrip, Jack Almond, Elliott Cresswell and Matt Tristram.
