WORCESTER City Amateur Boxing Club's Demi Aceto and Tyler Bryce enjoyed wins in a tournament at Moseley Rugby Club.

Bryce was up against Liam Neale, of Small Heath ABC, in a well-fought, skilful bout.

The Worcester fighter started the stronger, sailing through the first two rounds with ease using crisp left jabs to good effect.

Neale got the bit between his teeth and pressured Bryce in the last to impress the judges enough to claim that round.

But Bryce had built up a commanding lead at the start and was declared the winner by a unanimous decision.

Next up was junior welterweight Demi Aceto against Joe Nammi, of South Birmingham.

Aceto was pretty relentless with his work and stayed in forward gear throughout the contest.

Big overhand rights from Aceto put the Birmingham boy on the backfoot.

Aceto continued to attack but was left wanting in the defence department.

Gaps appeared with the guard too low for comfort.

Gentle words of wisdom from coach Mick Underwood soon corrected that flaw with the Worcester fighter finishing in perfect form.

An impressive unanimous victory was given to Aceto in only his second outing for the club.

Elsewhere, the outstanding Ryan Jones was up against the promising Ethan Fletcher, of Eastside ABC, at Kingshurst WMC.

Both entered the rings with similar records of 18 wins and only three losses.

The fast hands of Jones was the telling factor as he picked up a unanimous points win.

Both talented boxers were congratulated on their fine performances by the referee and are ones to look out for in the future.
