WORCESTER City will travel to giantkillers Atherstone Town in the last 16 of the FA Vase if they can see off league rivals Coventry United.
The winners of Wednesday’s tie (7.45), rescheduled following Sunday’s postponement, have been handed a trip to the lower-ranked Adders.
While it sees City avoid one of the big hitters, the Midland Football League Division One outfit thrashed Malvern Town 10-0 in a replay earlier in the competition and then registered the result of the fourth round with a 1-0 success at bookies favourites and 2018 finalists Stockton Town on Saturday.
City have scooped £4,125 in prize money from five victories in this season’s competition with another £1,875 up for grabs at the Victoria Ground, Bromsgrove, in midweek.
The competition is now played on a national basis with the winners of the Atherstone tie just two stages from a Wembley final.
