THE inaugural Worcester derby between City and Raiders has been rescheduled.

The Smedley Crooke Memorial Cup first round tie will now take place on Tuesday, March 3 (7.45) having originally been pencilled in for the start of November, the first attempt being postponed due to City’s FA Vase commitments. 

It was then set to take place in January but got called off at the 11th hour due to persistent rain falling, much to the ire of the visitors.

The fixture has now appeared on City’s section of the FA’s Full-Time website as taking place at Bromsgrove Sporting's Victoria Ground with further rescheduled games filling midweek slots for the next six weeks.

Worcester News:

City host Sporting Khalsa in Midland Football League Premier Division on Wednesday, February 12 with a trip to Romulus on Monday, February 17 making it three matches six days for Ashley Vincent’s men.

That is followed by a trip to Lye Town on Tuesday, February 25 prior to the Raiders match seven days later.

The league trip to Gresley, which was meant to take place on Saturday but got moved due to City’s continued FA Vase involvement, has now been put in for Tuesday, March 10.

The remaining six midweek slots from there are blank bar a fixture on Easter Bank Holiday Monday but City will have an MFL Cup quarter-final to fit in alongside any other cup progress.
