WORCESTER Crocodiles' water polo team have been crowned junior league winners for the second year running.

The under 16s mixed side played 12 games and only lost one with the final clash being the title decider.

Crocs had lost by just one goal at Solihull but won the key return home match 11-6 to retain the crown.

The club have grown over the last few years with the under 16s starring under head coach David Cash and his assistant Iain MacLeod.

Charlotte Martin, Daniel Day and George Glover have represented England while George Jones and Toby Chilcott turned out for Wales with all aged under 16.

The winning Crocs squad also included Martin Koveckis, Nathan Lambert, Alfie Paton, Adrian Fok, John Nelson, Diego Camacho, Max Murray, Lewis Cribbin, Zoe Bloss, Jessica Day and Elliot Sherlock.

Cash said: “It's amazing and testament to the effort both the players and their parents put in.

"A few years ago we were lucky to win a match so I’m immensely proud of the youngsters.”

Crocs men's team have been promoted to Midlands League Division One after successfully challenging the bottom team.

The women sit second in their league after only losing one out of five games.

Club chairman Nigel Paton said: “Crocs are going from strength to strength across the board thanks to investment in time and energy from our coaches and dedicated committee members.
